Join our dynamic team at Ridgeview Institute Monroe and make a difference as an Activity Therapist! In this role, you'll plan and deliver engaging activities for our patients, contributing directly to their treatment goals and overall well-being. As a valued member of our interdisciplinary team, you'll provide continuous care, support, and positive role modeling to patients, creating an environment that supports healing and growth.   • Responsible for observing and applying sound judgment in patients' physical and mental conditions/needs.
  • Document and communicate changes in patients' appearance, behavior, and ability to work towards treatment plan goals.
  • Provide assessment in psychosocial/leisure and recreational skills development/deficiency.
  • Assist patients in achieving their optimum level of independent functioning.
  • Plan and implement activity therapy for assigned patient case load within the facility.
  • Model and teach appropriate social, coping, and stress management techniques to patients.
  • Contribute to treatment plans with specific goals and interventions in therapeutic activities.

Your Experience Matters What we're looking for:
  • Education & Licensure: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in occupational therapy, art, music, recreational therapy, humanities, or movement therapy. Master's degree preferred. Certification or licensure by the state of Georgia and/or national governing body in the following areas: art, occupational, recreation, or music therapy.
  • Experience: One (1) year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with an understanding of mental illness preferred.
  • Additional Skill Requirements: Successful completion of CPR Certification and CPI before assisting with restraining procedures and within 30 days of employment. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.

Compensation:
