Life Enrichment Coordinator - University Retirement Community - Davis, CA
Are you passionate about enriching the lives of seniors? We're looking for an enthusiastic Life Enrichment/Activity Coordinator to bring creativity, connection, and joy to our residents' daily experiences. At University Retirement Community in beautiful Davis, California, we're more than just a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC)-we're a vibrant, welcoming community where residents truly thrive. Our residents enjoy private, pet-friendly apartments and cottages, along with a full continuum of care right on campus-providing peace of mind and a carefree lifestyle with support whenever it's needed.
Compensation & Schedule:
  • Wages: $18.00 - $21.49 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Shift: Full-time, 9:30 AM - 7:00 PM (hours may vary)
  • Rotation: 3 days on / 3 days off

What You'll Do: As a Life Enrichment Coordinator, you'll play a key role in creating meaningful, engaging experiences for residents by:
  • Planning and implementing therapeutic and life enrichment programs
  • Leading holistic activities aligned with a person-centered care philosophy
  • Coordinating and delivering wellness and recreation programs tailored to residents' needs
  • Providing hands-on involvement during scheduled activities
  • Supporting and supervising volunteers
  • Collaborating with the Activity Director to expand opportunities for emotional, physical, spiritual, social, and intellectual engagement

What We're Looking For:
  • Experience in senior living, recreation therapy, or a related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in assisted living or skilled nursing preferred
  • Knowledge of gerontology, dementia, physiology, anatomy, or recreation therapy is a plus
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, leadership, and team-building skills
  • Comfortable using computers, including electronic medical records systems
  • Ability to lead activities and actively engage residents
  • Experience facilitating group activities is a plus

Certification Requirement: Activity Coordinator Certification is required. If not already certified, the course must be completed after hire (employee-paid, with full reimbursement upon successful completion).
