Job description

Job Objective(s):

Responsible to assist Director of Resident Services in planning and leading a variety of activity programs designed to meet the resident’s social, physical, mental, emotional, and sensory needs.

Activities Job Details:

  • Hours – every Friday and Saturday. Hours from 8:30 am - 5:00pm
  • Pay Range – $18.00-$19.00/hour
  • Location – 733 Selby Ave St. Paul MN , Seven Hills Senior Living

Activities Benefits:

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-year activities experience in independent retirement, assisted living, adult day services or long-term care facility serving a senior population.
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Currently possess a Class C license, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to use basic Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) computer programs.
  • Creativity in developing and planning activity programs.
  • Group leadership and interpersonal skills to lead one on one, small, and large group activities.
  • Able to make responsible choices and decisions, and act in a resident’s best interest.
  • Strong organizational skills

  • Maintains confidentiality.
  • Able to read, write, spell, do basic math, speak and understand English

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for assisting Activity Coordinator with planning, promotion, and facilitating/leading each event or program.
  • Assess resident’s recreational and social needs.
  • Support development of monthly Activity Calendar of Events.
  • Lead small, large and one on one activity programs with seniors.
  • Research and recommend to Coordinator entertainment/educational speakers/church representatives, etc.
  • Support coordination of transportation needs to outside events/programs in accordance with established policies and procedures. Accompany residents on field trips as assigned.
  • Work cooperatively with assigned volunteers and direct their assignments to support the resident programming.
  • Maintain the STSW bus interior and exterior.
  • Report maintenance needs in timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Every Friday and Saturday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
