Position: Activity Assistant (Part-Time)

Eden Vista Prospect Heights, part of the Eden Senior Care Network, is looking for a Activity Assistant for our wonderful facility!

We are seeking individuals who are devoted to fostering meaningful and purposeful lives for our residents. The Activity Assistant organizes and participates in person-specific activity programming, including one to one interventions, small group facilitation, and large group presentations. Capable of documenting individual participation and value of approaches in the medical record.

Job functions will include:

  • Assist with planning, coordinating and implementing activities to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual and emotional needs of our residents
  • Create environments where moments of joy, independence, and wellness are the focus each and every day
  • Help design programs to encourage socialization
  • Provide entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment and improve daily living skills
  • Prepare and maintain reports on resident’s progress
  • Ensure activity areas are safe and well maintained
  • Generate enthusiasm to encourage and motivate participation
