Job Title: Activities Aide
Job Location: Burlington, Vermont

We are seeking a compassionate and organized Activities Aide to join our team at Burlington Health & Rehabilitation Center. As an Activities Aide, you will play a vital role in developing and carrying out recreational programs, group activities, special entertainment, and holiday events to meet the needs of our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and carry out recreational programs, group activities, special entertainment, and holiday events to meet the needs of residents

  • Support, encourage, and motivate residents to attend activities

  • Transport residents to and from activities as needed

  • Accompany residents to special events and trips outside the facility

  • Facilitate activities and ensure the safety and well-being of all residents

  • Clean up after each activity and ready for the next

  • Assemble, dismantle, and store equipment and supplies used in the recreation program

  • Communicate with families as necessary and encourage their involvement

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous experience and demonstrated interest in working with seniors is preferred

  • Ability to work hours/rotation as described above
