Director of Recreation

The Sans Souci Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is looking for a talented and hard-working Director of Recreation to join our ever-growing team.

Sans Souci Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is a facility with 120 beds and is proud of their state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Gym servicing 40 + short term beds. Our Sans Souci Rehabilitation and Nursing Center team consists of 20+ Therapists spanning 20 years of experience with backgrounds in acute, sub-acute, long term and outpatient settings would provide an excellent setting for learning and growth. Sans Souci Rehabilitation and Nursing Center provides Rehabilitation services 7 days per week.

Director of Recreation Responsibilities:

  • The Recreation Director is responsible for providing an ongoing program of activities designed to meet the physical, social, educational, and spiritual needs of every resident, as per the current federal and state guidelines and regulations.
  • The Recreation Director will be expected to plan, coordinate, develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that is appropriate for all levels of abilities and participation, and ensures that each resident has an individualized plan of care that outlines current participation.
  • Additionally, the Recreation Director is responsible for hiring and supervising all recreation staff/ volunteers and ensuring that they are trained appropriately and given equipment, supplies and resources necessary for the programs’ success.

Director of Recreation Qualifications:

  • Must have prior experience a Recreation Director
  • Must have long term care experience
  • Ability to plan, develop, implement and facilitate programs
  • Excellent group facilitation skills
  • Experience in managerial role and ability to lead and develop a dynamic team
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Must be reliable, responsible, and have the ability to lead and inspire others

Salary: Up to $75,000 a year
