Summary of Position:
The Academic Support Specialist will provide individualized and small group support to students by identifying their needs, offering academic coaching, monitoring progress, collaborating with teachers and families, and implementing strategies to improve academic performance. The incumbent will communicate with families and serve as a liaison with various school districts that include but are not limited to Bernalillo, Albuquerque, and Santa Fe. This role involves assessing student needs, facilitating tutoring, parent workshops, and collaborating with the Library Activities Coordinator to facilitate STEM related enrichment activities and events.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with minimum of 2 years' experience working with youth and/or tribal communities.
  • Must be willing to work extended working hours, including evenings or weekends, when needed.
  • Satisfactorily pass a drug/alcohol and background check.
