Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Receptionist
SUPERVISOR: Administrative Assistant
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
Education: High school graduate required, college preferred.
Experience: Secretarial and/or receptionist duties preferred.
Working conditions: Residential setting environment; office related duties; light lifting; routine use of office equipment including telephones; routine engagement with residents, staff and visitors.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
  1. Greet all guests and visitors as they enter the front door.
  1. Answer phone within 3 rings and be professional and knowledgeable and able to give correct information in a professional manner.
  1. Assist Resident Assistants in the dining room with meals and clean up.
  1. Keep the cordless phone with you when not at the desk.
  1. Responsible for hourly checks on all outside doors throughout the Assisted Living building and Clubhouse and memory care gate.
  1. Lock all outside doors at assigned time prior to leaving shift.
  1. On weekends, take lunch and dinner orders and communicate to the kitchen any changes or requests.
  1. Responsible for holding scheduled activities on weekends and evenings.
  1. Respecting HIPPA laws and maintaining confidentiality.
  1. Communicate needed time off with the Administrative Assistant. All call ins must be made a minimum of 4 hours prior to shift.
  1. Understand all job duties and communicate to supervisor if you do not. You will be held accountable for those job duties and subject to reprimand if they are not performed as trained.
