Job description

Pay: $57.00 - $61.75 per hour Job description: About the Role: C Evans Consulting is seeking two experienced Federal HR Specialists, DEU to support a new DHS contract. You will join a high-impact team that manages cradle-to-grave federal staffing and classification services for this law enforcement agency. Requires an active Delegated Examining Unit (DEU) certification. Key Responsibilities: Manage 25-30 active hiring actions across all phases of the recruitment lifecycle
Provide 24-48 hour response time related to staffing requests
Collaborate with hiring managers on job analyses, assessments, and recruitment strategies
Create and post vacancy announcements in USA Staffing (USAS)
Review applicant eligibility and qualifications, applying specialized experience and veterans’ preference criteria
Generate and issue certificates of eligible candidates
Coordinate tentative and final job offers and onboarding steps
Respond to inquiries from applicants, hiring managers, and stakeholders
Participate in hiring process improvement initiatives, SOP updates, and policy documentation
Ensure compliance with agency merit system principles, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws.
Utilize hiring tracking tool for daily updates to ensure alignment with team metrics.
Required Qualifications: Federal staffing and recruitment experience, 10+ yrs experience qualifies at higher level; 8-10 yrs experience mid-level
In-depth understanding of federal hiring authorities (e.g., DE, MP, DHA, Pathways, Schedule A)
Experience with USA Staffing, and federal HR regulations
Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of performance metrics related to TTH, certificate quality, and compliance
Experience working with classification and staffing integration
