Job description

We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to support a short-term Contract assignment in Rochester, Michigan. This role will focus on preparing and deploying Windows-based laptops and desktops for end users in a high-volume rollout environment. The ideal candidate brings hands-on desktop support experience, works efficiently in a team setting, and can provide a smooth setup experience for employees during scheduled device distribution events.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare, configure, and deploy laptops and desktop computers for end users as part of a large-scale PC rollout.
• Support device handoff activities in a centralized setup area, ensuring each user receives a properly configured workstation.
• Install standard business applications and verify systems are ready for use on Windows environments.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and login issues during deployment and initial setup.
• Assist with account-related tasks and user access support involving Active Directory and related tools.
• Update and manage service desk tickets to document progress, issues, and completed requests.
• Coordinate with the broader technical support team to resolve escalated issues and maintain rollout timelines.
• Contribute to deployment efforts tied to the organization’s transition to Par Health systems where needed.• 3-5 years of experience in desktop support, help desk, or similar end-user support roles.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 11 in a business environment.
• Familiarity with Active Directory for basic user and account support tasks.
