We strive to provide and deliver more not only for our customers but for our team as well.

About the Role:

The Senior IT Technician provides on-site technical support for Century Mold’s Rochester, NY facilities, helping ensure that end-user systems, manufacturing technology, infrastructure, and business applications operate reliably and securely. This position serves as an experienced, hands-on member of the IT Operations team, independently resolving technical issues while coordinating with internal specialists, external vendors, and the company’s managed service providers.

This is a broad technical role requiring experience across desktop support, Microsoft environments, endpoint administration, servers, printers, and network troubleshooting. The successful candidate will bring a strong technical foundation, adapt quickly to Century Mold’s systems and processes, and take ownership of unfamiliar problems without requiring extensive platform-specific training. The role will also support access management, cybersecurity remediation, technology deployments, documentation, and infrastructure projects across Century Mold’s corporate and manufacturing environments.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide on-site Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for workstations, mobile devices, printers, servers, business applications, and production systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, authentication, and performance issues across office and manufacturing environments.
  • Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, user accounts, security groups, permissions, and related access controls.
  • Deploy, configure, maintain, and replace laptops, desktops, peripherals, and other endpoint equipment.
  • Support endpoint management, software deployment, patching, configuration compliance, and security remediation activities.
  • Diagnose network issues involving switches, wireless access points, VLANs, firewalls, cabling, and internet connectivity, escalating advanced issues when appropriate.
  • Support local servers, network equipment, conference-room technology, cameras, access-control systems, and other facility technology.
  • Assist with cybersecurity operations, including vulnerability remediation, incident response, log review, access reviews, and implementation of security controls.
  • Support compliance activities associated with CMMC, ISO 27001, and company security standards.
  • Coordinate with managed service providers, vendors, and remote IT personnel to resolve incidents and complete technical projects.
  • Participate in hardware refreshes, system rollouts, infrastructure upgrades, site deployments, and other IT initiatives.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, asset records, support procedures, system configurations, and network diagrams.
  • Provide professional, customer-focused support while communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical employees.
  • Train users on company systems, security practices, and approved technology tools.
  • Manage assigned work independently, prioritize competing demands, and take ownership of issues through resolution.
  • Participate in after-hours maintenance or incident response and travel to other Century Mold locations as needed.

We would love to hear from you if:

You’re an experienced, hands-on IT professional who can quickly understand an unfamiliar environment, identify what needs to be done, and take ownership through resolution. You have a broad technical background supporting users, endpoints, Microsoft platforms, infrastructure, and business systems, with enough networking knowledge to troubleshoot connectivity issues and work effectively with internal specialists and service providers.

You’re comfortable supporting both office and manufacturing environments, balancing urgent operational issues with planned maintenance and project work. You communicate clearly, document your work, and provide dependable support without requiring constant direction. You’re adaptable, security-minded, and willing to learn Century Mold’s specific technologies while applying an established foundation of practical IT experience.

Why You’ll Love Working for Century Mold:
