Senior Test & Evaluation Engineer
Berkeley, MO
Long Term Contract
Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Test & Evaluation Engineer to lead the development, execution, and analysis of complex test systems and procedures. This role requires a deep understanding of test engineering principles, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Test Development & Standardization
    • Lead the creation and documentation of standardized test methods and processes to ensure consistency, repeatability, and efficiency.
    • Develop detailed test procedures and instrumentation configurations aligned with test plans.
    • Apply lessons learned to continuously improve test methodologies.
  • System Design & Calibration
    • Design calibration systems, test fixtures, and test hardware/software to meet specific test requirements.
    • Generate calibration procedures and develop supporting software and data processing tools.
    • Ensure functional verification and validation of all instrumentation systems prior to testing.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
    • Analyze, process, and format test data to meet customer specifications.
    • Review and approve test data, including off-nominal results, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
    • Prepare and present comprehensive test reports and internal presentations.
  • Leadership & Collaboration
    • Guide and mentor junior engineers and technicians in test system design and execution.
    • Lead test team debriefings and provide technical direction during test programs.
    • Interface effectively with customers, integrated product teams (IPTs), program management, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Project & Risk Management
    • Participate in proposal development, including labor and material estimates.
    • Develop project plans using project management principles to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.
    • Act as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) and support Earned Value Management and risk/issue/opportunity management.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
  • Minimum of 9+ years of relevant experience (or Master's with 7+ years, or PhD with 4+ years).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience designing and implementing test systems and analyzing complex data sets.
