We are seeking an experienced Senior Acquisition Program Analyst (AMS3) to support a large support services contract with the Naval Sea Systems Command.
Position Description: You will provide support to the Program and Deputy Program Manager of a 200-person contractor team that includes subcontractor personnel.
Work location and telework: The primary government worksite is the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, DC. Contractors should expect to work on-site at the Navy Yard or in nearby office locations up to five (5) days per week. Limited teleworking may be available with customer approval and will be determined based on mission needs and the evolution of working relationships.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Acquisition Program Analysts are responsible for evaluating, planning, and improving the processes, strategies, and financial aspects of acquiring goods, services, or systems. They work to ensure that programs are compliant with regulations, stay on budget, and achieve operational efficiency. Acquisition Management provides daily program, analytical, and acquisition management support to senior-level executives. Acquisition Management provides detail-oriented management of records, business research analysis, and valuation strategies. They may also be involved in various administrative tasks. Acquisition Management should have strong computer, finance, and analytical skills. They will often work with or lead teams.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
You must be eligible to obtain a SecretClearance and meet one of the following qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED and 20 years of relevant experience in Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys, and/or Laser acquisition or program analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree and 15 years of relevant experience in Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys, and/or Laser acquisition or program analysis.
  • Master's degree and 10 years of relevant experience in Surface Radars, Electronic Warfare, EO/IR, Decoys, and/or Laser acquisition or program analysis.

Either education and experience combination listed above qualifies for consideration.
Preferred / Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • ActiveSecret Clearance
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Experience:
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Navy/DOD policy and guidance
    • Acquisition Strategy/Acquisition Plan development and review
    • Milestone and Gate preparation
    • Procurement Request review

Travel Requirements:
  • Travel should be infrequent but include occasional trips to support government efforts at East and West Coast naval-centric areas like Norfolk, VA, and San Diego, CA.
