Job description

Pediatrician Opportunity, Akron Children's Pediatrics (ACP) Tallmadge/Ellet
Akron, Ohio (Northeast Ohio)
Whether you're a resident, a physician early in your career, or a seasoned physician with years of experience, Akron Children's Hospital has something different that's hard to explain. You feel it in the atmosphere as soon as you enter through the doors. You experience it every day with your colleagues, staff, patients and their families. Once you're here, you know you're home.
Akron Children's Pediatrics (ACP) brings pediatric primary care for babies, children, and teens to many northeast Ohio communities through our 40+ pediatric offices. We are seeking a full-time physician to join our established Tallmadge and Ellet practices as they continue to expand. This is a split position between both offices. The Tallmadge office has 3 experienced pediatricians, and the Ellet office has 4 experienced pediatricians. This is an outpatient opportunity with shared after-hours call. Calls only reach the physician after being screened by our excellent after hour's nurse triage phone line which handles more than 90% of the calls. Saturday morning office hours are shared between the providers. These are busy existing practices, so we welcome new graduates or established providers to step into a practice that they can continue to develop and grow.
This position is a 501(c)(3) site which qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the Federal government.
Our offices follow standard hospital-based policies, while retaining the local culture of each practice. Our physicians enjoy the use of EPIC as a system-wide integrated electronic health record. Our primary care offices are all PCMH certified. The Patient-Centered Medical Home is a model of care that puts patients at the forefront of care. PCMHs build better relationships between people and their clinical care teams. Research shows that they improve quality, the patient experience and staff satisfaction, while reducing health care costs.
This opportunity offers:
Attractive guaranteed base salary
Starting Bonus
Quality and Productivity Bonuses
Comprehensive benefits package
Occurrence based malpractice
Relocation assistance
Generous vacation and CME time/money
Student loan repayment strategies
