Job Summary for Security Guard

The Security Guard oversees site security operations to protect employees, customers, assets, and facilities while supporting a safe and controlled environment during auction operations. This role manages security coverage, policies, and incident response protocols across auction property, including vehicle lots, buildings, and sale-day operations.

Work Hours for Security Guard 


Weekend Shift: 

  • Saturday/Sunday/Monday 6:45AM - 7:00PM

OR


Second Shift:

  • Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 2:30PM-10:00PM
  • Wednesday 2:00PM - 10:15PM

Responsibilities for Security Guard

  • Monitor facility access and ensure secure entry and exit for employees, customers, vendors, and visitors. 
  • Patrol the property to help prevent theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, and other security concerns. 
  • Investigate and document security incidents and assist with implementing corrective actions. 
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and security partners when needed. 
  • Maintain accurate security logs, reports, and documentation. 
  • Support auction sale-day operations by assisting with crowd management, traffic flow, and overall site security. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Requirements

Requirements for Security Guard

  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Good driving record.
  • Able to pass pre-employment screening.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Security, loss prevention, law enforcement, military, or related security experience is required.

Physical Requirements for Security Guard

  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods across lots and facilities.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to respond quickly to incidents and navigate active operational areas safely.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds (cones, barriers, signage, equipment).
