Job description

Ready to build something you can be proud of? Acoustical Solutions is growing, and we’re looking for hands-on Installation Team Members who want variety, steady work, travel opportunities, and the chance to help transform high-end spaces across Virginia, the Mid-Atlantic, and beyond. Based in Richmond, you’ll start your day with a company that has spent more than 30 years solving noise problems and making spaces sound better—from concert halls and recording studios to university arenas, restaurants, and commercial environments.

This is not a same-four-walls-every-day job. You’ll work on unique projects, install beautifully finished acoustical products, and see the results of your craftsmanship in spaces where people gather, perform, learn, work, and connect. If you enjoy working with your hands, take pride in quality finishes, and want to be part of a supportive team, we’d love to meet you.

If you have solid finish carpentry skills—or strong hands-on experience with tools—and would rather work in climate-controlled facilities than spend every day in the rain, heat, or snow, this could be the right fit. Our experienced installation technicians provide the training, guidance, and support you need to grow professionally and financially. You’ll also enjoy excellent benefits, paid travel expenses, per diem, and opportunities for advancement.

What You’ll Do:

· Install a wide variety of acoustical products using hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and aerial lifts

· Put the finishing touches on high-end spaces where quality and attention to detail matter

· Perform quality inspections to make sure every installation meets our standards

· Work with Project Managers and Team Leaders to complete safe, efficient, and well-organized jobs

· Participate in product training, internal development, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives

· Learn and apply Lean/Continuous Improvement tools related to safety, quality, production, and 5S

What We’re Looking For:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Experience using hand tools and power tools preferred

· Finish carpentry, construction, installation, or related hands-on experience preferred

· A strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and pride in doing the job right

Skills and Qualifications:

· Customer-service mindset and professional attitude

· Organized, dependable, goal-oriented, and ready to contribute to a team

· Positive attitude and openness to new ideas, training, and change

· Ability to communicate clearly with Team Members, Team Leads, Managers, and clients

· Availability to work overtime as needed to meet business needs

· Consistent punctuality and readiness to work at the job site when the shift starts and breaks end

· Ability to read a tape measure and add/subtract to reach desired dimensions

· Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.

· Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet

· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

· Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background check

· Must be authorized to work in the United States

Schedule: This is a full-time position. Most work is day shift, Monday through Friday. Overtime, night work, and weekend work may be required based on business needs.

Travel: You’ll travel to job sites typically located in Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic region, with occasional nationwide projects. Employees are provided a company vehicle for travel, paid hotel accommodations, and per diem for food and incidental expenses.

· Benefits: Acoustical Solutions offers a competitive compensation package and excellent benefits, including 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision benefits, supplemental insurance options such as life and accident coverage, PTO accrual starting your first day, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, paid travel expenses, per diem, internal training, and opportunities for upward mobility.

· Safety: Acoustical Solutions is committed to maintaining a safe work environment and actively takes measures to support the safety of our employees.

Why Join Us? You’ll join an employee-friendly company with a long-standing reputation, supportive leadership, paid travel, strong benefits, hands-on training, and work you can see and take pride in. If you’re ready for a career with variety, craftsmanship, and room to grow, apply today.

Important Announcements: Acoustical Solutions promotes a drug/alcohol/smoke free work environment with mandatory pre-employment drug testing. Acoustical Solutions is also an E-Verify employer to confirm employment eligibility. Background check and drug screen prior to hire will be required. Acoustical Solutions is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, color, disability, gender, gender expression, gender identity, genetic information, race, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, or status as a protected veteran.
