Metal Stud / Acoustical Ceiling Foreman

PEC Interiors is a full-service specialties contractor, specializing in acoustical, metal and wood ceilings, all types of flooring, from carpet to ceramic and interior and exterior finish wall systems, drywall, plaster, framing, and acoustical ceilings.

Our Foreman are skilled in acoustical, metal and wood ceilings, interior and exterior finish wall systems, drywall, plaster, and framing. As a Foreman you will be responsible for supervising and providing leadership for crews of various sizes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote job site safety, encourages safe work practices, and rectifies job site hazards.
  • Direct activities concerned with production.
  • Maintain construction schedule.
  • Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees.
  • Plan, organize, or direct activities concerned with the construction or maintenance of structures, facilities, or systems.
  • Supervise employees on job site. (i.e. subs)
  • Ensure all job reports, and documents are submitted correctly and on time.
  • Maintain written and photographic documentation daily, showing work completed, any damage done by other trades, safety issues, etc..
  • Thoroughly understand project floor plans and construction drawings.
  • Be able to work on scaffold, aerial lifts, ladders, and stilts.
  • Be able to use powder actuated tools and lasers.
  • Work indoors and outdoors.
  • Must be able to work individually and as a team player.
  • Maintain construction schedules including phasing.
  • And other duties as assigned by your manager.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Have commercial Drywall Framing experience as a Foreman with knowledge of material, methods, tools, and plans/layouts/prints involved in the installation of framework for commercial/industrial buildings.
  • 3 to 7 years of Foreman experience in construction (required).
  • Have experience with metal framing, drywall, FRP work, finishing work, acoustic ceilings.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be detail oriented, have excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving abilities, and proven leadership skills. The ability to handle multiple projects / tasks.
  • The ability to prioritize work, maintain a positive attitude and composure in stressful situations.
  • Must have a good understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and blueprint reading.
  • Familiarity with software such as Bluebeam, PlanGrid, PDF Expert and Dropbox preferred.
  • Willingness to travel/work out of home territory, intermittently.
  • Tools and transportation.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to pass a drug test.
  • Bilingual (Spanish / English) would be a plus.
