Commercial Carpenter - ACT Ceiling Specialist
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Pay: Up to $35.00/hour (Based on Experience)

Jack Laurie Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Carpenter specializing in Acoustical Ceiling Tile (ACT) systems to join our Fort Wayne team. We are looking for someone who is an expert in suspended ceiling systems and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
If you can hang, level, square, and finish commercial ceiling grid systems with precision, we want to talk to you.
What You'll Do
  • Install suspended acoustical ceiling systems (ACT)
  • Lay out, hang, and level ceiling suspension systems
  • Install main tees, cross tees, wall angle, and perimeter trim
  • Install ceiling tile and specialty ceiling systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
  • Measure, cut, and fit grid and ceiling materials accurately
  • Work safely on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts
  • Coordinate with project managers and field leadership to complete projects on schedule
  • Maintain high-quality workmanship while meeting production goals
What We're Looking For
  • Expert-level experience installing commercial ACT ceiling systems
  • Proven experience laying out and leveling ceiling grid
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
  • Strong knowledge of commercial carpentry practices
  • Experience operating scissor lifts and aerial lifts preferred
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work overhead throughout the day
  • Dependable, safety-minded, and committed to quality craftsmanship
