Healthcare professionals such as orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and sports medicine specialists often work with injuries related to the Achilles tendon, like tendonitis or ruptures. Understanding the function and care of this tendon is essential for diagnosing and treating lower leg injuries, especially in athletes or active individuals. Proper rehabilitation and prevention strategies are vital to maintain mobility and avoid re-injury.

Job description

HR Administrator/Recruiting Coordinator

Are you someone who is organized, enjoys supporting others collaboratively, and is interested in learning about HR with a focus in recruiting? Would you like to join a dynamic company with fun people and be part of a team where your work is highly valued and appreciated? If so, look no further! Achilles Group is looking to hire an HR Administrator/Recruiting Coordinator who will help share the load between our recruiting process and our HR Shared Services work and be involved in a variety of Human Resources functions and projects related to our clients and overall business.

Achilles Group is a boutique HR consulting firm in Houston, Texas that proactively delivers human resources expertise to small and mid-sized businesses in a cost-effective way. We take a professionally human approach by placing people, ours and our clients, at the center of everything we do.

We are a team of accomplished human resources professionals that have taken the concept of teamwork and elevated it to the next level. While we are all HR generalists by trade, each of us specializes in an area of human resources. We speak of ourselves as working stronger, smarter, and faster as a team. There is strength in numbers and together we work with our clients to identify issues, discover solutions, and create opportunities. While individually we each excel at going above and beyond, it is collectively as a team that we shine the brightest.

We embrace the following core values:

  • Extending Grace - We believe in adding compassion back into business, regardless of your situation, while balancing accountability and business expectations.
  • Genuinely Interested - We want to know the ins-and-outs of your story, how you operate your business, the successes you celebrate and the stresses that keep you up at night. We appreciate being part of your journey.
  • Navigating the Gray - We recognize there is no one-size-fits-all approach to HR, only tailored solutions. Our Professionally Human approach acts as a guiding light through the gray, often murky waters of HR.
  • Diversity of Thought - We move beyond our individual filters to see the value in every person's experiences, perspectives, and ideas. Together, we are Stronger, Smarter and Faster, providing our clients the fuel needed to drive smart people decisions and profitable business outcomes.

We are looking for the following type of person:

  • Be fun! Have fun! Relax and don't be afraid to be yourself.
  • Eternal optimist! Have a positive attitude.
  • Lean in, ask questions, be inquisitive, humble, and discovery-minded.
  • Juggler! Have the ability to work on various different projects for different clients.
  • Be a fireman! Have a high sense of urgency.
  • Flexible - comfortable shifting between recruiting and HR admin work based on where the need is greatest.
  • Embrace feedback, invite, receive, and offer it consistently.
  • Talker! Listener! Communication is key.

The Position:

This is a unique role that blends recruiting with HR Admin work. The role is mainly focused on recruiting support, with some time spent on various other HR projects. The balance between these areas may shift based on business needs and workload, so flexibility to move fluidly between both is essential. Achilles has a team approach to both recruiting and HR delivery, so this role will partner closely with other colleagues on client assignments.

Recruiting Responsibilities:

  • Collaboratively work with clients to truly understand the requirements of each position assigned by conducting recruiting kick-off calls with hiring managers at our clients.
  • Create job ads and post positions on our applicant tracking system.
  • Create interview questions and conduct video interviews.
  • Provide weekly communication updates while establishing a relationship with the hiring managers.

HR Administer Responsibilities:

  • Support a variety of HR functions and projects across multiple clients, including handbooks, FLSA audits, employment law research, job descriptions, compensation-related projects, and much more!
  • Research and respond to HR-related issues and support employee relations interventions and initiatives.
  • Assist with an ever-expanding menu of HR-related tasks and projects as the role grows.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of HR, recruiting, or other applicable experience (such as internships) strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and flex between different work streams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Houston-based.

Why Work at the Achilles Group?

  • A family-friendly culture that truly cares about our employees as individuals!
  • Exposure to both recruiting and a wide variety of HR areas.
  • Learn from our amazing team of HR Professionals!

Interested? Apply today and let us know why you'd be a great fit for our HR Administrator and Recruiting Coordinator role!
