Position Summary

The Personal Lines Risk Advisor is responsible for developing new client relationships, identifying personal insurance exposures, and delivering customized insurance and risk management solutions. This individual serves as a trusted advisor to affluent individuals and families while partnering with internal service teams to ensure exceptional client service and long-term account retention.

Responsibilities
  • Develop new Personal Lines business through networking, referrals, and relationship building
  • Build relationships with high-net-worth individuals, families, and professional referral sources
  • Conduct comprehensive personal insurance reviews and identify coverage gaps
  • Recommend customized insurance and risk management solutions
  • Present proposals and guide clients through coverage recommendations
  • Collaborate with account management teams during implementation and renewal
  • Cross-sell additional agency products and services
  • Cultivate relationships with attorneys, CPAs, wealth managers, mortgage professionals, and other Centers of Influence
  • Maintain accurate client documentation within the agency management system
  • Achieve established production and business development goals
  • Participate in networking, community, and professional events that generate new business opportunities
Qualifications
  • Personal Lines or Property & Casualty insurance sales experience
  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (California preferred)
  • Proven success generating new business and developing client relationships
  • Strong consultative sales and communication skills
  • Professional, client-focused approach
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with high-net-worth or private client accounts
  • Existing referral network or transferable book of business
  • Experience with carriers such as Chubb, PURE, AIG Private Client, Cincinnati, Travelers Private Client, or similar markets
  • Understanding of complex personal insurance programs, including:
    • High-value homes
    • Luxury automobiles
    • Umbrella liability
    • Valuable articles
    • Watercraft
    • Secondary residences
