The primary responsibilities of the Receiving Associate position are to maintain outstanding customer service, generate sales, merchandise product, and support the store management team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Unload trucks
  • Sort products
  • Stock products on shelves
  • Ensure aisles are neat and area is clean
  • Greet customers and answer their questions
  • Aid customers in locating merchandising in store, on acehardware.com, as well as, processing special orders
  • Process go-backs (stocking returned products back to shelf)
  • Assist in departmental resets
  • Maintain orderly appearance of register area and supplies stocked
  • Use Point-of-Sale interface to lookup, identify and locate products
  • Actively participate in daily huddle meetings
  • Responsive of safety issues
  • Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store management

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 40-60lbs pounds frequently and repeatedly to load and unload customer orders.
  • Be on your feet for most of your shift (6 to 8 hours)
  • Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting.
