experience is a plus but not a requirement as we provide extensive training.

Position Summary 

The primary responsibility for all positions within FL Davis Ace Hardware is to Amaze Every Customer Every Time and uphold the Core Values as determined by the management team. We are seeking a friendly, dependable, customer-focused Retail Sales Associate with a positive outlook to join our boutique team. In this role, you will deliver exceptional service, maintain a welcoming store environment, and support daily retail operations. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, reliable, team-oriented, and passionate about creating a memorable shopping experience. You will help customers find products they love, provide personalized style or product guidance, and contribute to overall store success through strong sales performance and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

  • Greet customers warmly and build genuine relationships to understand their needs.
  • Provide personalized product recommendations and styling assistance (if applicable).
  • Drive sales by actively engaging customers, upselling, and suggesting complementary items.
  • Process purchases, returns, and exchanges accurately at the point of sale.

Store Operations

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor.
  • Ensure merchandise is stocked, steamed, tagged, and displayed according to boutique standards.
  • Assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing inventory shipments.
  • Follow opening and closing procedures.
  • Reset store displays as directed.

Product Knowledge

  • Stay knowledgeable about new arrivals, product features, brand stories, and promotions.
  • Educate customers on product care, sizing, materials, and styling options.

Customer Experience & Relationship Building

  • Create a warm, inclusive atmosphere that reflects the boutique’s brand identity.
  • Build and maintain client relationships through follow-ups, special orders, and loyalty programs.
  • Support special events, trunk shows, and promotional activities.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with team members to achieve daily and monthly sales goals.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding customer feedback, inventory needs, and operational improvements.

Compliance

  • Adhere to all company policies, including loss prevention, safety, and customer confidentiality.
  • Maintain a professional appearance cohesive with our boutique atmosphere.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements 

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Organized individual with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more. 
  • Boutique experience and/or sales experience a plus, but not a requirement.
