Job description

Job Description

The senior maintenance technician works under the direction of the Facilities Manager to maintain Goodwill
facilities and grounds. Upholds a positive work environment that follows Goodwill's Amazing Customer
Experience (ACE) culture, values, and mission in every interaction with stakeholders.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1.  Manages the building maintenance function through yearly, monthly, and daily work assignments.
     Recommends needs for contract and/or outside vendor services. 
2.  Performs electrical installation, repair and maintenance work in wiring for switches, outlets, plugs,
     cables, power circuits and appliances; repairs and replaces lighting systems; inspects electrical
     systems for unsafe conditions. Performs diagnostics and locks out unsafe equipment. Provide
     diagnostics on HVAC systems. 
3.  Identifies and performs repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks; open clogged lines and drains; replaces
     broken plumbing pipes, valves, and fixtures. ; maintains and monitors septic systems; installs and
     maintains drinking fountains; repairs/replaces hot water heaters.

4.  Applies and prepares various surfaces for paint, enamel, lacquer, varnish, or stain; repairs wall
     coverings.  
5.  Maintains grounds in clean and orderly manner including mowing, trimming, weeding, aerating and
     fertilizing lawns; replaces plants as needed; sets sprinklers; replaces broken sprinkler heads; maintains
     ground maintenance equipment; trims branches that create hazardous situations. 
6.  Maintains equipment and tools owned or leased by Goodwill Industries of Arkansas. 
7.  Transports and stores equipment, supplies, and tools needed to complete assigned duties. 
8.  Install and terminate data cable. Install security cameras. 
9.  Ensures that all work orders and service requests are completed in a courteous and timely manner.
10.Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

on assignments and direct and perform quality maintenance services. Must demonstrate good safety habits
and common sense, plus be able to take necessary action in emergency situations.
