Position Overview: The Shop Supervisor is responsible for the successful execution of production and delivery activities
Principal Responsibilities:
• Facilitates On-boarding and training activities for warehouse employees
• Manages all warehouse staff to achieve productivity and quality standards
• Communicates workflow expectations, priorities, and progress to warehouse employees
• Coordinates machinery and tool inspection activities
• Inspects received products for damage and overall accuracy
• Manages production inventory and communicate any discrepancies with proper personnel
• Maintains and coordinates inventory management activities
• Prepare daily production/warehouse reports
• Other duties as described by manager
Role Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED or 1 - 3 years of experience or a combination of education and experience
• Familiarity with door components, finishing products and assembly techniques
• Experience utilizing manufacturing tools/machinery (chop saw, door machine, router, nail gun, etc.)
• Forklift certification (depending upon branch requirements)
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, correspondences, and memos
Physical Demands:
Exceptional finger and manual dexterity required to successfully perform required tasks, including the ability to frequently lift up to 85 pounds and/or pushing 100 pounds, bend, crouch, stand, and sit for long durations.
Work Environment:
The work environment requires the employee to work regularly near moving mechanical parts and to be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee occasionally is exposed to harsh outside weather conditions. This position may require the employee to use safety equipment such as, protective eyewear, earplugs, gloves, safety shoes etc. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
