CANDIDATES WILL BE TESTED ON COLLISION ESTIMATING AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS.


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Estimator / Manager to oversee the daily operations of a busy body shop. The ideal candidate will possess at least 4 years of FULL TIME experience with CCC Estimating Software. Management Software. Must be super-organized, pay attention to detail and be able to blue-print and repair plan all repair jobs. This role requires hands-on leadership, ensuring that all projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. The Shop Manager will be responsible for managing a team of skilled technicians, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe working environment.

Duties

  • Supervise daily shop operations, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Manage and mentor technicians, providing guidance on best practices in auto restoration and fabrication.
  • Must have EXCELLENT customer relationship skills.
  • Must be a great sales-person to capture customers.
  • Coordinate workflow to optimize productivity while maintaining quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure attention to detail in all projects.
  • Maintain inventory of parts and supplies, making orders as necessary to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Assist in mechanical repairs, including welding and sheet metal work as needed.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional development.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a shop management or supervisory role within the automotive industry.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in auto restoration, fabrication, and repair.
  • Familiarity with dealership operations is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate various hand tools safely.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
