Lead Regulatory Excellence & Organizational Readiness
Are you passionate about regulatory excellence, accreditation readiness, and emergency preparedness? Join Baton Rouge General as our Manager - Regulatory Affairs & Emergency Management and help ensure the organization remains survey-ready, compliant, and prepared to respond when it matters most.
Baton Rouge General is seeking a Manager - Regulatory Affairs & Emergency Management to lead regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, licensure management, and emergency preparedness activities across the organization. This position serves as a key resource for Joint Commission standards, CMS Conditions of Participation, Louisiana Department of Health regulations, and emergency preparedness requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Lead hospital-wide regulatory and accreditation readiness efforts.
  • Coordinate Joint Commission, CMS, LDH, and other regulatory surveys.
  • Conduct tracers, mock surveys, audits, and gap assessments.
  • Manage hospital licensure, permits, registrations, and certifications.
  • Lead the Emergency Management Program, including emergency preparedness planning, drills, and exercises.
  • Develop compliance dashboards, reports, and corrective action plans.
  • Partner with leaders throughout the organization to support continuous survey readiness and regulatory compliance.

Requirements
Required
  • Bachelors of Nursing degree.
  • Active non-encumbered Louisiana RN License
  • Five (5) years of hospital experience in a clinical setting.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.

Preferred
  • Master's degree.
  • Experience in healthcare regulatory compliance, accreditation, quality, emergency management, or performance improvement.
  • Experience leading Joint Commission, CMS, or state regulatory surveys.
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission standards, CMS Conditions of Participation, Louisiana healthcare regulations, NIMS, and HICS.
  • Louisiana RN license.
