Accounts Receivable Specialist
San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)

Do you have at least two years of billing and/or accounts receivable experience and desire to grow with a team with mentorship? Do you have a strong attention to detail and want to work in a complex environment that allows for learning opportunities? We are working on an accounts receivable / billing specialist role for a wonderful team in San Francisco, CA. This would be a direct hire hybrid position. The ideal candidate will have a good blend of billing and accounts receivable experience, strong attention to detail, and strong analytical skills. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process client invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with firm billing guidelines and client requirements.
  • Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up professionally on outstanding invoices to support timely collections.
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies, client inquiries, and payment issues in collaboration with attorneys and internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate billing records, customer account information, and payment documentation within the firm's accounting system.
  • Assist with monthly billing cycles, cash application, account reconciliations, and reporting activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve billing and collections processes while delivering excellent client service.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of billing, accounts receivable, or related accounting experience; professional services experience is a plus but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with the confidence to professionally interact with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with accounting, ERP, or billing software.
