Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist (Trucking Division)

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our trucking division. This role is responsible for entering trucking load tickets into QuickBooks, processing accounts receivable and payable transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, comfortable with high-volume data entry, and able to communicate effectively with dispatchers, trucking brokers, and internal team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter trucking load tickets into QuickBooks as accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.
  • Process and maintain accurate financial records related to trucking operations.
  • Communicate regularly with dispatchers, trucking brokers, and internal staff to ensure timely and accurate processing of information.
  • Review and verify load ticket data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with resolving discrepancies and payment issues as needed.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation.
  • Perform other administrative and accounting support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with QuickBooks Desktop required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
  • Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with internal staff and external partners.
  • Accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or trucking industry experience preferred.

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Monday through Friday position.
  • Office hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Flexible scheduling is available within business needs.
  • This role offers a results-oriented work environment. Once assigned work is completed accurately and on time, there is flexibility in the workday.
  • Workload can vary. Previous employees have successfully completed the core responsibilities in as little as three days per week, while others have worked a full 40-hour schedule by taking on additional administrative and office projects.

Training

The successful candidate will receive training on company-specific processes from our Dispatcher and Controller. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, asks questions, and wants to become an integral part of our trucking operations team.
