Job description

The Company

We are a leading provider of SaaS-based Credit Risk Management and Trading solutions serving the Energy, Utilities and Commodities Trading sectors. Our platform helps organizations manage credit exposure, counterparty risk, trading limits, compliance, and operational efficiency in increasingly complex energy markets.

The Role

The Account Director is a senior, hybrid role in CubeLogic's Account Management function, owning both new customer acquisition and a portfolio of existing accounts across the Credit and Compliance suite. You'll drive revenue growth through new logo acquisition, renewals, cross-sell, upsell, and strategic development of CubeLogic's largest enterprise relationships.

Youโ€™ll set strategic direction for top-tier accounts, act as escalation point and mentor for US Account Managers, and bring strong hunting skills to identify, qualify, and close new business in CubeLogic's target markets.

The ideal candidate blends hunting skills with relationship management, engaging senior stakeholders across Risk, Trading, Credit, Operations, IT, and Executive Leadership in energy, utility, commodity trading, and financial services firms - with a consultative approach and a passion for helping clients realize measurable value from RiskCubed.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Account Ownership & Planning
  • Own strategy, relationships, and commercial outcomes for CubeLogic's largest, most complex accounts across Credit and Compliance.
  • Build and maintain Account Plans defining objectives, stakeholders, risks, and growth paths (cross-sell/upsell).
  • Lead QBRs: share updates and roadmap visibility, gather feedback, agree action items.
  • Serve as escalation point and informal mentor for US Account Managers on account planning, negotiation, and executive engagement.
Customer Advocacy, Retention & Satisfaction
  • Represent the voice of the customer internally, coordinating across teams for service excellence and retention.
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships with strategic accounts.
  • Help customers realize full product value and proactively surface new opportunities.
  • Run Customer Satisfaction/Project Feedback surveys and close the loop with customers and internal teams.
New Business Development
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business across energy, commodities, and financial markets sectors.
  • Build a robust new-logo pipeline via prospecting, networking, events, and referrals.
  • Run discovery meetings and deliver value-based demos/presentations.
  • Own the full sales cycle end-to-end: prospecting through proposal, negotiation, and close.
  • Execute new business account plans to hit quarterly/annual targets alongside retention and expansion goals.
Commercials, Renewals & Forecasting
  • Review renewal quotes, prepare proposals, delivery dates, and payment schedules; arrange installation as needed.
  • Monitor invoicing and resolve issues with Finance.
  • Work to a commission plan tied to retention, renewal, and expansion ARR.
  • Maintain accurate CRM data for all accounts/opportunities to support forecasting.
Executive Communication & Negotiation
  • Lead commercial negotiations and deliver data-driven executive presentations.
  • Build and maintain C-suite relationships within strategic accounts.
Cross-Functional & Team Collaboration
  • Partner with Professional Services, Product Development, and Support on delivery and issue resolution.
  • Plan and drive attendance/execution of marketing activities (webinars, seminars, client events).
What We're Looking For Experience
  • 8+ years in enterprise account management, strategic customer success, new business/sales development, or complex software/SaaS, with a track record managing large strategic accounts.
  • Proven success meeting/exceeding retention, renewal, and expansion targets.
  • Cross-functional experience with Sales, Professional Services, Product Development, and Support.
Technical Skills
  • Proven CRM proficiency with rigorous data discipline; comfortable with forecasting and renewal tracking.
  • Comfortable using Power BI or equivalent reporting tools for account and portfolio-level insight.
  • Experience designing, running, and acting on Customer Satisfaction/NPS programmes.
Attributes
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, General Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
  • Domain knowledge in energy/commodities markets is a plus.
