This role works cross functionally to ensure efficient material flow across labeling and packaging facilities while supporting forecast accuracy, artwork approvals, and inventory risk management.What You?ll GetCompetitive pay based on experienceAffordable, market leading medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid vacation and personal timePaid training and professional development opportunitiesA collaborative corporate office environmentLong term growth opportunities with a stable, family owned companyWhat You?ll DoMonitor systems and reports to ensure packaging inventory levels support production schedulesIdentify and resolve daily material shortages in coordination with internal customersRequest and reconcile physical inventories at labeling and packaging facilities as neededServe as the primary internal and external contact for assigned accounts on all packaging related mattersCoordinate inter plant inventory transfers, provide inventory balances, and manage design transitionsMaintain packaging version control and oversee inventory transitions to limit company liabilityVerify accuracy of product, planning, and material data in applicable systems and communicate required updates to Data GovernanceNotify Data Governance of changes to suppliers, pricing, or lead timesCreate and manage purchase orders, utilizing system planning recommendationsFollow up on open purchase orders to ensure on time delivery; expedite as necessaryManage purchase order accuracy including quantities, pricing, and resolution of vendor or receiving issuesResolve invoice discrepanciesReview and approve new or revised customer packaging artwork, collaborating with Quality and maintaining appropriate documentationPartner with Sales and Forecasting to support forecast accuracy and resolve planning issuesCollaborate with Operations, Quality, and suppliers to address packaging size or quality concernsDetermine and manage disposition of obsolete, rejected, or aged packagingConduct safety stock analysis and recommend adjustmentsParticipate in special projects and perform other duties as assignedWhat You?ll BringEducation & ExperienceAssociate degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management certificate, or related field preferredThree or more years of experience in inventory management, procurement, or supply chain functionsEquivalent combination of education and experience consideredSkills & AbilitiesStrong ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environmentIndependent work style with minimal supervisionSolid problem solving and decision making skillsExperience with Microsoft Office, Adobe, email and electronic file managementExperience with SAP S/4HANA preferredAbility to apply regulatory and compliance requirements within the Label Approval processClear, concise written and verbal communication skills for interaction with customers, design agencies, and internal partnersStrong analytical skills with the ability to review inventory, demand, and planning data for accuracyAbility to think independently and complete general assignments with sound judgmentWhy Lakeside FoodsFounded in 1887, Lakeside Foods is a family owned company with a long history of quality, integrity, and operational excellence.
