Description
The TPA Account Associate supports the TPA Account Manager by keeping client requests, issues and deadlines organized and moving. The AA handles routine needs, follows up with internal teams and develops account knowledge to identify potential concerns.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the AM with day-to-day client and broker needs.
  • Handle routine questions and requests and provide timely follow-up.
  • Coordinate eligibility, enrollment, ID cards, group setup, reporting and other routine account needs.
  • Track requests from start to finish and keep owners, due dates and status organized.
  • Research claims, eligibility, member and pharmacy issues.
  • Help track RBP, balance-bill, provider and member issues.
  • Coordinate with Claims, Member Experience, Pharmacy, RBP/network and other internal teams.
  • Prepare reports, meeting materials and information for client reviews.
  • Identify unusual changes, recurring issues or trends and bring them to the AM.
  • Prepare meeting notes, action items and follow-up.
  • Support renewal data and other account deadlines.
  • Partner closely with account managers and cross functional teams to deliver a consistent client experience.
  • Coordinate routine vendor requests and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Keep CRM and account information accurate and current.
  • Follow up with internal teams and vendors to ensure commitments are completed timely.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of account related issues and resolutions.
  • Look for ways to improve processes and reduce unnecessary work.

Account Manager / Account Associate Partnership
  • Account Associate: Executes, tracks, researches, coordinates and follows up.
  • Account Manager: Directs, prioritizes, interprets, strategizes and owns the outcome.

Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in healthcare, employee benefits, insurance, customer service, account management or related field preferred.
  • Strong organization, communication, attention to detail and follow-through.
