The Accounts Receivable Associate is responsible for processing payments, maintaining accurate aging, maintaining overdue accounts, and taking a collaborative approach to solving customer discrepancies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is accurate
  • Verify invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
  • Monitor incoming payments and ensure they are applied correctly
  • Resolve discrepancies between customer payments and invoices
  • Work with other departments to resolve billing issues or disputes
  • Reconcile customer accounts as needed
  • Work closely with collection agency; maintain accurate records relating to collections
  • Collections and follow-up, contact clients with past-due accounts
  • Assist with month end and year end projects as needed
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to account receivable activities

Working Conditions

  • Full-Time
  • In-Office work environment: Charlottesville, VA
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Prolonged computer and phone use
  • Work is primarily performed during standard business hours, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST.
