Accounting Clerk - CPA Firm
We are a small CPA firm in Westchester, NY with a tight-knit and competent staff. We are looking for an Accounting Clerk with 1-2 years of accounting experience. Experience should include knowledge of preparing journal entries, bank reconciliations, editing, and processing transactions in QuickBooks. Room for you to gain lots of professional growth and experience. This position is available due to consistent firm growth.
Responsibilities:
  • Entering financial transactions in QuickBooks online or on a desktop.
  • Monthly Bank reconciliation for various clients
  • Preparing Journal entries for month-end close
  • Assist the audit team in preparing and planning documents and performing an overall risk assessment of assigned clients.
  • Assist audit team in performing internal control testing procedures
  • Assist the audit team in obtaining and reviewing audit evidence ensuring audit conclusions are well documented.
  • Identify and communicate issues discovered during the engagement.
  • Communicate assigned tasks to the engagement team clearly and concisely to ensure high-quality, accurate, and efficient results.
  • Actively participate in learning and development opportunities, formal learning, and training programs.
  • Working on-site at various client locations is required.

Qualifications
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
