About the Role

The Manager, Accounting will work across the Accounting function under the leadership of the Controller on various cross-functional projects. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of BGCA’s accounting operations while driving continuous improvement across accounting functions. This role translates evolving business priorities into actionable accounting support, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements while enhancing service delivery to internal stakeholders. The position also provides leadership oversight of the Internal Auditor and influences cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.


What You'll Do

  • Partner with the Controller to provide support across all accounting functions based on business needs.
  • Provide coverage during peak demand periods across functional accounting teams.
  • Prepare and review accurate journal entries.
  • Review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure accounting policies and procedures comply with GAAP and applicable tax laws.
  • Drive process improvements and streamline efficiencies across accounting teams.
  • Coordinate with accounting managers and support audit activities.
  • Deliver high-quality execution with strong customer service orientation.
  • Mobilize support with urgency to meet departmental priorities.
  • Collaborate across finance and accounting teams to meet critical business needs.
  • Serve as a trusted resource across the accounting department.

Operational / Management Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the BGCA Internal Auditor.
  • Influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and deadlines.

  • Active CPA license
  • 5–7 years of experience including public accounting (audit)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Hybrid Model: This role operates in a standard office or remote work environment and requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, operate a computer and standard office equipment, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Atlanta-based hybrid position, reporting to BGCA’s headquarters on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and as required based on team meetings.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this role is $84,000 to $105,000. BGCA takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training and experience, as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level.
