Job description

Overview

The Accounting Systems Supervisor - is responsible for owning the Blackline reporting tool and related close processes. This role combines strong accounting knowledge, systems expertise, and internal control discipline to drive an efficient, accurate, and wellcontrolled financial close.

Key Responsibilities

Blackline

  • Serve as primary owner and administrator of Blackline, including configuration, user access, reconciliations, journals, task management, and automation.
  • Partner with IT, Internal Audit, and Finance teams to further leverage the use of Blackline for process improvements and automation opportunities, migrating manual activities into Blackline.

General accounting

  • Assist in periodend close activities with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness.
  • Design, maintain, and monitor SOXcompliant internal controls.
  • Review account reconciliations, journal entries and ancillary tasks like unclaimed property filings.

Other

  • Supervise two accountants who take care of posting journal entries, site and GL account creation.
  • Manage the process for unclaimed property filings and claims.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems (Accounting emphasis).
  • 5+ years of accounting or accounting systems experience.
  • Handson Blackline experience desired.
  • Strong understanding of recordtoreport processes and internal controls.
  • Technically inclined, detailoriented, and comfortable partnering with IT.
  • ERP experience (PDI, Longview) a plus.
