JOB SUMMARY:

The Accounting Clerk handles administrative and bookkeeping tasks to ensure efficient and accurate documentation. This role acts as a central hub for accounting operations by managing transaction data, reconciling accounts, cash deposits, supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable, maintaining records, and supporting organizational projects.

The Accounting Clerk exercises professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment while handling confidential information and interacting with employees, physicians, vendors, and external business partners. 

Requirements

MINIMUM & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


Education

Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: Associate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.


Experience

Minimum: At least two years of progressively responsible accounting, bookkeeping, or data entry experience supporting an accounting department.

Preferred: Experience in a healthcare organization, medical practice, MSO, IPA, or other regulated environment utilizing electronic document management systems. Experience with the NetSuite ERP system.


Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Excellent organizational and time management skills. 

Knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.

Strong verbal and written communication skills. 

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. 

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams. 

Ability to prepare professional business correspondence and reports. 

Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while meeting deadlines. 

Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. 

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands described here are represented by those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. There will be prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly be required to walk, stand, bend, lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
