Arona Home Essentials is seeking a Full Time, Accounting Clerk for its home office located in West Des Moines, Iowa. This position reports to the Director of Accounting. Arona thrives in a high-growth, fast-paced, can-do environment. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team.
The Accounting Clerk will play a key role in supporting our daily financial operations. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, and eager to grow in the field of accounting.

Responsibilities:
  • Processes accounts payable transactions.
  • Manages invoices, statements, and document discrepancy with vendors.
  • Collects vendor information for new vendor setup or existing vendor updates.
  • Assists with payment preparation and check processing.
  • Communicates with store managers about invoice questions and coding.
  • Assists with general ledger preparation and monthly journal entries.
  • Data entry and management of accounting system.
  • Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Perform general administrative duties related to finance.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in accounting or two (2) years of accounting experience
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving, data solving and typing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Business Central a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills
