What will you be doing?

As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee the company financial operations and ensure accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial management. This position is critical to the delivery of financial information on a timely basis. Responsibilities include:

  • Reconciling accounts and preparing financial statements
  • Ensuring accuracy in financial reporting to provide reliable information to stakeholders.
  • Overseeing month-end and year-end closing processes including preparation of financial statements, audit support and reconciling accounts.
  • Collaborating with third-party service providers to enhance existing financial systems and implement improvements.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations (IFRS)
  • Leading and mentoring accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Managing grants, subsidies and accounting related to government funding programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • CPA designation preferred
  • 5+ years of experience working in an accounting or finance role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, IFRS experience an asset
  • Experience in practice accounting
