Banyan Search is partnering exclusively with a well-established, growth-oriented company to place an Accounting Manager. A solid opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional ready to take ownership of core financial operations, from monthly close and management reporting to budgeting and audit support. You'll work closely with senior leadership, serve as a key financial resource across divisions, and help translate numbers into the insights that drive better business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements; maintain the general ledger, including accruals and prepaid account management

• Perform job profitability accounting and gross margin analysis; partner with division leaders to analyze revenue, maintain KPIs, and deliver actionable recommendations

• Prepare monthly financial dashboards and management reporting packages highlighting key business trends, variances, risks, and opportunities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; provide insight into financial results and recommend corrective actions when needed

• Deliver monthly and ad hoc financial analysis to strategic leaders across the organization

• Reconcile bank accounts, verify deposits, address bank inquiries, and manage the cash application of customer deposits

• Support the annual budgeting process and track monthly financial results against the plan

• Coordinate with external auditors; gather necessary documentation to support the annual audit process

• File required tax forms and business licenses with federal, state, and local government agencies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required

• 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience; 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience required

• Strong knowledge of general financial accounting, job cost accounting, and gross margin analysis

• Solid understanding of GAAP and internal accounting policies and procedures

• Experience in a project-based industry is a strong plus

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems; ERP migration experience a benefit

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management in a close calendar environment

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with division and senior leadership
