Job description

Accounting Manager

Location: Manchester, NH
Salary: Up to $120,000 + comprehensive benefits


Reporting directly to the Controller, you'll own the day-to-day accounting operations and be a critical partner in delivering timely, accurate financial reporting. If you're someone who enjoys improving processes, mentoring others, and making an impact, we'd love to meet you.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the Controller with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
  • Prepare and review complex journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Own general ledger maintenance and ensure accuracy across all accounts
  • Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with financial reporting and audit preparation
  • Help strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting and payroll processes
  • Assist with ERP and system enhancements
  • Partner with HR, Operations, and leadership to improve financial processes
  • Cross-train team members and help build a collaborative accounting department


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • MS in Accounting or CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong general ledger responsibility
  • Experience supporting or leading month-end close
  • Advanced journal entry and account reconciliation experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
  • Excellent Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills
