Job description

Join ITC Holdings for our Summer 2027 Internship Program and gain valuable experience supporting Accounting business objectives while gaining practical and real-world capability through challenging work assignments.

The ITC Accounting intern performs a variety of activities gaining hands-on experience in accounting principles and practices, participating in meetings, and working on special projects. The role is designed to provide exposure to financial reporting, data analysis, and compliance processes while supporting organizational objectives with exposure to multiple groups on a rotational basis which could include financial reporting, internal audit, corporate accounting, fixed assets, tax or accounting policy. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Prepare journal entries and support month-end close activities.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and variance analyses.
  • Assist with tax computations, returns, and audit documentation.

  • Use Excel and accounting software for reporting and analysis tasks.
  • Participate in internal audit activities, including reviewing controls and compliance processes.
  • Participate in special projects and attend team meetings to learn industry practices.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Basic understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • This program is a 12-week program during the summer, with 40 hour work weeks.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer. ITC does not sponsor employment visas, such as H-1B or TN visas.
