Description Are you a problem solver who enjoys bridging business needs and technical solutions in enterprise financial systems? If so, we're looking for someone like you to join our team at APL. We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS Business/Systems Analyst with strong knowledge of General Accounting, General Ledger (GL), and Accounts Payable (AP). In this role, you will combine deep technical expertise with functional understanding to assess business needs, evaluate system capabilities, and provide insights and recommendations that support process improvement and operational efficiency. You will work closely with the Business Applications Group and partners in General Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Accounts Payable. Your goal is to ensure Oracle EBS solutions support efficiency, accuracy, financial integrity, and scalable growth. As an Oracle E-Business Suite Business/Systems Analyst, you will... * Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements, translating them into functional and technical specifications within Oracle EBS.
* Configure, support, and optimize Oracle General Ledger and Accounts Payable modules to meet evolving accounting, reporting, and compliance requirements.
* Collaborate with developers to design, test, and deploy extensions, interfaces, reports, and integrations.
* Perform data analysis, validation, and reconciliation using SQL and other diagnostic tools.
* Support month-end and year-end close activities by troubleshooting issues affecting journal processing, subledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
* Analyze and resolve issues related to invoice processing, supplier payments, payment batches, holds, accruals, and General Ledger posting.
* Fix and resolve functional and technical issues through root-cause analysis, coordination with Oracle Support, and application of recommended fixes.
* Develop and maintain documentation, including functional designs, test scripts, user procedures, and configuration records.
* Participate in system testing, patching, and upgrade activities to ensure stability, accuracy, and compliance.
* Evaluate change requests for business impact, dependencies, and alignment with governance and audit requirements.
* Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and reporting enhancements that improve efficiency, internal controls, and data integrity.
* Experience in authoring functional design specifications, configuration documents, test plans, and test scripts.
* Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and recommend break/fix solutions.
* Proficient in authoring and presenting program solution documents.
* Support users through training, issue resolution, and communication of best practices for system usage. Qualifications You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you: * Hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field.
* Have 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise applications, including 5+ years supporting Oracle E-Business Suite or comparable ERP platforms.
* Demonstrate technical expertise in three or more Oracle EBS modules (GL, AP, AR, Projects/Contracts, or Billing), including application configuration, integrations, and system dependencies.
* Have 3-5+ years of technical leadership experience leading enterprise application implementations, enhancements, or modernization efforts.
* Possess experience throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, solution design, testing, deployment, and production support.
* Demonstrate proficiency with SQL, relational databases, application integrations, and troubleshooting complex enterprise systems.
* Possess working knowledge of GAAP, federal cost principles, and compliance requirements as they relate to enterprise financial systems.
* Communicate effectively with technical teams, business partners, and leadership.
* Are able to obtain Secret level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked.
