Position Summary
Responsible for providing accounting support to accounting manager. Keys daily worksheets to the general ledger system, ensures files are complete and maintained as needed, handles accounts payable duties, etc. Such duties include, but are not limited to:
Job Functions:
• Opening and/or sorting finance mail
• Vouchering all incoming invoices
• Distributing vouchers for department approval; distributing vouchers for manager's approval.
• Gets checks signed. Prepares all material for mailing, ensuring that appropriate copies are maintained and filed, according to departmental guidelines.
• Prepare and file weekly invoices to client and keep the A/R subsidiary updated.
• Banking processing bank deposits, including trips to the bank. All associate finance entries.
• Keep subsidiary ledger update.
• Maintain customer files and ensure all backup paperwork is available for auditors.
• Assist with preparation of audit sampling package for external & internal audits
• Assist with the monthly close procedures
• Other projects as assigned
Qualifications
Position Requirements/Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration
Majors: Accounts and Finance or Associate degree preferred.
• Knowledge of fully accounts receivable policies and procedures.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounts cycle.
• Not less than 3 years' experience
• Proficient in preparing advertising invoice payable
• Knowledge in local taxes
• Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office - Excel, Word and Outlook
• Good Communication Skills (English/Spanish)
• Leadership Abilities
• Ability to function in, and contribute to, the team environment
• Excellent organization, problem solving & planning skills with attention to detail
• Ability to maintain professional working relationships.

• Must handle accounting transactions with as few errors as possible.
• Handle a lot of paperwork, so must be well-organized.
• Responsible for much of a company's sensitive financial information
• Should handle transactions discreetly and possess integrity.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and
procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients and customers.
