Job description

Dimmick Group Peterbilt is a family owned and operated Peterbilt and trailer dealership with 9 locations across the Northeast. We are seeking a full-time, highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant to Accounting and Sales Specialist to join our team in our South Royalton, VT office.
Responsibilities:
Process and review invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests.
Verify and reconcile discrepancies in invoices.
Prepare and process payments to vendors and suppliers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
Maintain accurate records of vendor accounts and track payment schedules.
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any payment issues or discrepancies.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper coding and documentation for invoice processing.
Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting.
Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices in accounts payable.
Bookkeeping and general accounting.
Creating and maintaining spreadsheets.
Assist sales department with processing sales paperwork.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Familiarity with accounting software, (Quickbooks and CDK) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
