We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our Tax & Accounting Department. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring efficiency in all accounting functions. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a basic understanding of payroll taxes.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations

  • Accounting-related administrative work
  • New client tax setup (Registration & Account Closures for State Unemployment & Withholding taxes; setup in PrismHR software)
  • Monthly / Quarterly / Annual tax return administrative duties such as data input, printing, scanning, mailing.
  • Effectively communicate with state tax agencies, client owners, and internal teams to setup accounts and resolve tax-related discrepancies or issues.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to inquiries and requests from internal and external stakeholders, such as Accounting and Payroll departments, along with clients and employees, regarding state payroll taxes.
  • Maintain a high level of data confidentiality while handling sensitive information related to employee payroll taxes.
  • Assist with any special projects, reconciliations, or other accounting-related tasks as required.
