Job description

Major Role: 

The Cost Accountant is responsible for assisting the Finance Department in the day-to-day management of company's accounting operations. This includes preparation and control of the general ledger and the resulting financial reports required by the Senior Management, the CFO and the Fuyao Group (China). This position will also assist in the preparation of the annual financial plan and play an important role working with external auditors in preparation of the audited financial statements for this location. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Review and control the company's operational expenses (manufacturing and administrative) for the CFO
  • Responsible for handling the general accounting, management expenses, financial expenses and other accounting matters
  • Checks the general accounting and related sources of financial information, preparation and submission of the trial balance and relevant financial statements 
  • Responsible for checking the Group's internal accounting, reporting the inconsistencies to CFO and timely preparation of reconciling reports
  • Handles the cash and bank deposit with the cashier and preparation of relevant specific matters
  • Responsible for the management of the accounting files
  • Work with A/P and A/R accountants to insure that sub ledgers are closed to the general ledger in an accurate and timely manner each month
  • Confirm the balance of other account receivable and account payable, supervise and urge relevant personnel to strike the balance within the specified time of period and specify the projects unaccomplished for 120 days in the statements
  • Conduct overall analysis of the company's business financial results identifying variances of actual versus plan
  • Carry out inventory checks to guarantee the consistency of accounts; timely identification of inventory variances and sources of those
  • Timely and accurate preparation of supporting schedules and any materials required by the external tax accountant
  • Collects the budget information and preparing the budget
  • Assists in making a reasonable financial estimates and projections as requested

Education and Experience: 

  • Undergraduate degree or above (Accounting major preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience in accounting
