Job description

We are looking for a Bank Teller to join a banking operations team in South Carolina. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who brings hands-on banking knowledge, strong customer-facing professionalism, and the ability to manage reconciliation work accurately in a fast-paced onsite environment. The role is best suited for someone who understands core accounting principles such as debits and credits and can quickly learn internal processes and systems.


Responsibilities:

• Perform daily reconciliation activities across bank accounts, credit card activity, and related financial records to ensure accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.

• Review transactions in detail, investigate exceptions, and work through outstanding items until accounts are properly balanced.

• Support frontline and internal banking operations by applying sound knowledge of banking processes and transaction flow.

• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and stakeholders while providing dependable service in an onsite business environment.

• Maintain accurate documentation of reconciliation work, research findings, and corrective actions taken.

• Identify issues that require escalation and partner with appropriate personnel to resolve account variances efficiently.

• Adapt to internal systems and established procedures with minimal ramp-up time while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.

• 3-5 years of experience in banking, reconciliation, teller operations, or a closely related financial services role.
• Practical understanding of debits, credits, and account balancing within a banking environment.
• Experience handling bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, daily balancing, and credit card reconciliation tasks.
• Strong customer service and frontline support skills, with a detail-oriented and dependable approach to work.
• Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday in Columbia, South Carolina.
• High attention to detail and the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies accurately.
• Prior teller experience is required for entry-level candidates being considered for the role.
