Job description

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Accountant manages and analyzes financial records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and support for business decision-making. This role includes preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, assisting in managing inventory, assisting with HR functions, assisting in 3d party audits, managing tax filings, filings for incentives, and maintaining internal controls.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Assist in the accounting of incoming and outgoing inventory
  • Assist with payroll and benefit
  • Reconciliation of inventory
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements
  • Conduct internal audits and support external audit processes
  • Prepare and distribute monthly financial reporting to the appropriate parties
  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns
  • Prepare and file incentive filings
  • Prepare and file Free Trade Zone filings
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances
  • Maintain accounting systems and internal controls
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow analysis
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory standards
  • Provide financial insights to management

Experience:

  • Must have 3+ years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Must have experience with ERP systems, especially SAP.
  • Must have Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Must be Proficient in accounting software and Excel
  • Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS
  • CPA/CMA preferred
  • Solar Module Manufacturing experience is preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Analytical Skills — Ability to interpret financial data and detect inconsistencies.
  • Attention to Detail — Ensures accuracy in financial statements and reconciliations.
  • Technical Accounting Knowledge — Understanding GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements.
  • Software Proficiency — Experience with accounting systems, SAP & ERP tools, and spreadsheets.
  • Communication Skills — Ability to explain financial information clearly to nonfinancial stakeholders.

Work environment:

  • Manufacturing plant setting with office and production floor presence
  • May require flexibility to support multiple shifts or occasional weekends

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
