Job description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Financial Controller for a well-established and profitable company based in the Triad area of North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, internal controls, GAAP compliance, and team leadership. This is an excellent opportunity to partner closely with executive leadership, drive financial strategy, and make a meaningful impact within a growing organization. This position is eligible for the executive bonus plan and offers an advancement path to CFO.
Financial Controller Responsibilities
  • Lead all accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
  • Maintain internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Cash Flow Management including managing banking relationships and financing activities
  • Coordinate external audits and financial reporting activities.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Prior management or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, ERP systems, and advanced Excel.
  • Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation.
  • Risk Management skills
