Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Credit & Receivable Specialist II   As a Credit and Receivable Specialist II, you will be responsible for facilitating the timely processing of new applications, setting up customers in the ERP master, maintaining tax-required documents, processing cash to the ERP receivable, and completing customer master maintenance as needed.

This position will facilitate an ongoing relationship with Arcwood customers and internal departments to ensure an efficient order-to-cash process. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented with a passion for accuracy and embody the skills needed to tackle challenges and have varied knowledge to process in multiple systems.

This position is a hybrid role onsite in Indianapolis 4 days per week with option to be remote the 5th day.

  • Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
  • Creates, updates and reviews customer setups, line of credit limitations, payment terms, credit status and contact information within ERP systems
  • Obtains credit reports and performs initial credit assessments
  • Performs credit and bank reference checks
  • Ensures accuracy of customer master data in ERP
  • Oversees customer credit card activity, including reconciliations
  • Maintains and updates standard operating procedure documents, training records and tax documentation as appropriate/required
  • Performs cash application and close processes for receivables
  • Completes requested payment research to include overpayments, misapplied payments, unidentified payments, short payments and GL check inquiries
  • Assists with close activities including AR related reconciliations and audit requests
  • Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
Education - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting (preferred)Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in an office environment (required)
  • Previous experience within a credit/receivables position (preferred)
  • Previous experience utilizing multiple ERPs (preferred)
